ASRxSTUDIO

Privacy Policy

ASRxSTUDIO is designed as an offline-first Mac transcription and captioning app. This policy explains what stays on your Mac, when Apple system services are used, and how to contact us.

Last updated: May 18, 2026

Summary

File transcription in ASRxSTUDIO runs locally with the bundled VibeVoice runtime. During normal file transcription workflows, ASRX does not upload your audio, video, transcript, subtitles, glossary terms, or project state to ASRX servers.

Offline file transcription No advertising SDKs No cross-app tracking User-controlled exports

Local File Processing

Audio and video files imported into ASRxSTUDIO are processed on your Mac by the app's bundled transcription runtime. Users do not need to install Python, pip packages, command-line tools, or separate model dependencies for the packaged app workflow.

Generated transcripts and subtitles are stored locally. Exported SRT, VTT, TXT, Markdown, JSON, and DOCX files are written only to locations you choose.

Live Captions and Apple Speech Recognition

Live Captions use Apple's macOS Speech Recognition framework after you grant Microphone and Speech Recognition permissions. Apple's speech recognition behavior, availability, and privacy controls are governed by Apple's platform services and your macOS settings.

If you do not enable Live Captions or do not grant those permissions, ASRxSTUDIO can still process supported media files locally for transcription and subtitle export.

Data We Do Not Collect

No transcript analytics

ASRX does not collect the contents of your transcripts, subtitles, hotword lists, or imported media during normal use.

No advertising tracking

ASRxSTUDIO does not use third-party advertising SDKs and does not track users across apps or websites.

Files and App Data

ASRxSTUDIO may store app settings, queue state, transcript edits, recent project references, and runtime state in your Mac's Application Support folder. This data remains on your Mac unless you choose to share it, export it, back it up, or sync it through services you control.

Network Use

Normal file transcription does not require an ASRX cloud transcription service. If ASRxSTUDIO is installed through the App Store, Apple may handle purchases, updates, receipts, diagnostics, and crash reports according to your Apple and macOS settings.

If future versions add optional license activation, update checks, crash reporting, or support uploads outside Apple's services, this policy and App Store privacy answers will be updated before release.

Support Emails

If you contact support, we receive the email address and information you choose to include, such as app version, macOS version, screenshots, logs, or sample files. Please avoid sending confidential audio or transcripts unless we specifically ask for a minimal sample and you are comfortable sharing it.

We may update this policy as ASRxSTUDIO changes. The latest version will be posted on this page with a new update date.
