InkLayer combines handwriting, PDFs and Markdown notes on one canvas, with files you own.

Get help

Email [email protected]. Please include your device model, its iOS, iPadOS or Android version, the InkLayer version (Settings › About) and what happened. Do not send private notes or PDFs unless we ask for a sample.

Common questions

• Where are my notes? In the library folder shown in Settings › Storage & backup. They are ordinary Markdown and PDF files with InkLayer's handwriting beside them.
• Backups. Settings › Storage & backup can export the whole library, optionally as an encrypted package protected by a passphrase. Keep the passphrase: it cannot be recovered.
• Sync between devices. Settings › Sync connects to a WebDAV server you choose. Conflicts are never overwritten: both versions are kept.
• Apple Pencil and fingers. Settings › Pencil & writing chooses whether fingers draw or move the page, and sets palm rejection and Pencil gestures.
• E-ink tablets. Settings › General › E-ink display turns off animation and raises contrast.

InkLayer Lifetime

InkLayer is free to download; the free version has every feature and handwrites in 3 documents. InkLayer Lifetime is one purchase that removes the limit, and every future on-device feature update is included. Nothing you write is ever locked, with or without it.

After reinstalling or on a new device, open Settings › General › InkLayer Lifetime and tap Restore Purchase. An App Store purchase restores on iPhone, iPad and Mac with the same Apple Account; a Google Play purchase on Android with the same Google account. Purchases do not carry over between the two stores.

Refunds

• App Store: request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com. Apple decides eligibility under its terms and local law.
• Google Play: request a refund through Google Play.
