How to use it

FAQ

Are photos deleted?

No. Daysgone only moves photos to the Hidden album in Photos. It never deletes any photo.

How do I unhide photos?

Open Photos → Albums → Hidden (you may need Face ID to unlock it) → select photos → Unhide. iOS locks the Hidden album, so Daysgone can't restore photos for you with one tap. See Apple's guide.

Why weren't some photos found?

Similarity isn't proof of identity. Small, turned, blocked, or much older faces may be missed; a few clearer reference photos from different angles usually help. iCloud photos that aren't downloaded to the device aren't analyzed—download them in Photos first, then run an incremental scan.

Why am I asked to scan again?

When photo access or the set of accessible photos changes, the app asks you to confirm again so it never hides photos outside your choice. Rescanning only analyzes new or changed photos.

What about iCloud Photos?

With iCloud Photos on, hidden status syncs to your other devices. If your accessible photos include an iCloud Shared Library, other members won't see the hidden photos either.

Are videos supported?

Daysgone analyzes still photos and the cover image of Live Photos. Videos aren't supported.
